From frederick noad's book: 'idiots guide to playing the guitar. ' noad plays it so beautifully, i could never match him, but i just wanted to try it with the electric instead. Recorded with my squire tele and squire bass into the focusrite interface. The guitar went through the walrus slo pedal on 'dream' setting with editing done in reaper. (shout out to kenny gioia for the tips). Bass was run through my behringer bxl 1800 bass amp and through the interface. Both instruments were triple tracked. I made this using two oscillators in native instrument's fm8 synth. There is nothing too fancy, just two sine waves played out the same output, but one has an offset of 440hz, and the second oscillator has an offset of 330hz. I then just played two notes that didn't sound too dissonant, and then ran it through some low-fi processing.

Killing the paper shredder with too many sheets. Then trying to get the paper out backwards and forwards. Etc.

I recorded some internal workings of different things, the xbox battery being one.

The sound of an electric car being plugged in and recharged. The clip starts with the car's recharging flap being opened from inside the car, then fully opened by hand, then the plastic socket cover being opened, then picking up the charging connector and plugging it into the car. There is some clicking as the electric vehicle's cooling fan turns on for a short while. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder at a small, suburban farm.
